Apollo Project 2019 comes from the first year of Severino C.’s Daily Design Challenge, Apollo 365°, and is Poster number 356. Created in late 2019, this piece was born from the artist’s determination to overcome the loss of nearly all his designs due to a hard drive crash. This “revenge creation” reimagines the Apollo statue through a process of decomposition, cutting, and playful reconstruction.
To achieve this, Severino C. expertly layered and overlapped Apollo’s statue with thin and thick geometric shapes, filled with vibrant colored gradients and darker tones.
